UNIVERSAL ARTE is a company prepared to sell works of art by Eastern Europe painters and artists in Spain and the Spanish speaker countries (South and Central America). The first step of our company has been to prepare this web page, but we are already working to open, next year, an Art Gallery in the old part of our city, Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain), with works of artists from all around the world. Our idea is to sell the works to all types of customers, but especially to interior designers, decoration professionals, public institutions... Thus, we are looking for a huge variety of art. We welcome works from countries where we think that art will grow strong, so that our customers will get a high quality work, as well as the possibility that the works will give them an economic profit and we have decided to start from Eastern Europe countries.
In order for us to start working, we need the artists to send us their works in digital photos. We are looking for painters (and photographers) who know some English and have email. If it is possible, we need the digital photos of the pictures to be made with natural light with the maximum resolution, in a format like JPG, PNG, TIFF or similar, and every work must include at least the next characteristics:
-Title:
-Description:
-Medium: oil, acrylic, water-colour, photographs….
-Size:
-Weight: if it´s possible (to calculate the price of the transport)
-Style:
-Price:
We need an English biography of the artist. We will then translate it into Spanish. We also need their address, telephone and email-messenger. Once we have all the information we will decide if the artist will take part on our web.
We would also like to know if some of you would be interested in painting pictures from photographs that we send from Spain. If so, please send us examples of paintings you have made from photographs in the past.

We are also looking for local art critics. We would like to translate their critiques into Spanish. We will have a part of the website for their works.
Although we started working in the web page on September, the web is near empty of works and we haven’t made any promotion of it, in October 2006 we have had more than a thousand visits (Webalizer information) from different countries (most from Spanish speaker countries).
We have worked hard and in a month our web has the best places in google and yahoo, for example (information 17/10/2006):
- “Galeria de pintura contemporanea” (contemporary painting gallery): our company “www.universalarte.com” is situated in the 14 position on google and in the 3 position on yahoo.
- “Galeria de pintura internacional” (international painting gallery): our company “www.universalarte.com” is situated in the 7 position on google and in the 11 position on yahoo.
